Selection Process for Punjab House Surgeon Recruitment 2026
How the Merit List is Prepared
The selection for the House Surgeon posts is entirely merit-based. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic performance throughout their medical degree. The final merit list is calculated by taking the aggregate percentage of marks obtained in the following university examinations:
- 1st Professional MBBS
- 2nd Professional MBBS
- Final Professional MBBS
District-Level Selection Committee
The interview and counseling process will be managed at the local level by a dedicated District Selection Committee. The panel comprises the following four members:
- Chairman: Civil Surgeon of the respective District
- Member: Assistant Civil Surgeon
- Member: Representative of the Deputy Commissioner (DC)
- Member: District Social Justice Empowerment Officer
