Physical Qualification
Basic Education: Must be a 10th pass with Science and Mathematics (under the 10+2 system) from a recognized School/Board.
Language Requirement: Must have passed Punjabi at least up to the Matriculation (10th) level or its equivalent, as per Punjab Civil Services Rules.
Pathway 1: Degree/Diploma Trades (Annexure-A)
You must hold one of the following qualification combinations:
- Bachelor’s Degree / B.Voc: Must be in the relevant engineering discipline from an AICTE/UGC-recognized institution + 1 year of relevant industry or teaching experience.
- 3-Year Diploma: Must be in the relevant engineering discipline from AICTE or a recognized Board of Technical Education + 2 years of relevant industry or teaching experience.
Note : Degree and Diploma holders must acquire the National Craft Instructor Certificate (NCIC) in their trade within 3 years of appointment.
Pathway 2: Craft Instructor (NTC/NAC Holders)
You must possess all of the following credentials:
- Technical Qualification: National Trade Certificate (NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the relevant trade from a recognized institution.
- Pedagogical Qualification: National Craft Instructor Certificate (NCIC) in the relevant trade.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry or teaching experience.
Note: All educational qualifications and experience parameters will be evaluated as of the cutoff date: 30/07/2026.
PSSSB Craft Instructor Salary
Monthly Salary 35,400/- (Level-6) for Annexure-A and Annexure-B posts.
Selection Process
Written Examination: All eligible applicants will be called for an Objective Type (Multiple Choice Question) written examination.
Merit & Negative Marking: The merit list will be prepared based solely on the marks obtained in the written exam.
- Correct Answer: +1 Mark
- Negative Marking: -0.25 (¼) Mark for every wrong answer.
Tie-Breaking Policy: In the event that two or more candidates gain equal marks, the following criteria will be applied in order of priority:
- Age: Preference will be given to the older candidate.
- Educational Qualification: If the age is also the same, the candidate with a higher percentage in the required educational qualification will be prioritized.
- Matriculation Marks: If the tie still persists, the candidate with higher marks in their Matriculation (10th) examination will be selected.
Counseling & Document Verification (DV): Based on the merit list, candidates will be invited for counseling and verification of their original certificates. The number of candidates called for this stage will be determined by the Board based on the category-wise vacancy count.
Sports Category: The merit for candidates applying under the Sports category will be determined in accordance with the Punjab Sports Department’s notification dated 09-03-2026 and subsequent government instructions.
